I’m going to say it, designers do shop at HomeGoods. Say what?! Yes, we shop there for the occasional accessory filler, seasonal decor (if need be), and just to see what our clientele is seeing in the masses. It’s a great resource to see what is out there for consumers, and what they are wanting. And quite often HomeGoods will get some of the furniture pieces from companies I see at High Point–they are generally discontinued pieces but still it’s quite impressive. There are items they have and I think, ‘this is such a steal, you can’t help but buy it!‘.
I will personally shop there for sheets, seasonal decor items, seasonal entertaining items, accessory fillers, sometimes a lamp or two and occasionally a furniture piece, if I can’t get what I want in time. They really do have some great items. My favorite items I feel that HomeGoods always have great inventory of are: lamps, little ottomans/stools, mirrors, picture frames, and kitchen accessories. While I’m not a promoter of buying everything in your home from this store, but I understand there are budgets. Sometimes my clients have a budget, and I would rather save some money on several accessories and lamps in order for them to buy the high-end upholstery and casegood pieces. Yesterday I did a little HomeGoods shopping for myself and found a few things I thought were great for any home. See several of my finds!
These mother of pearl Cynthia Rowley cabinet knobs are great!

They had two of these wooden stools, and I almost brought them home. For $79.99 you just cannot beat this! Too bad I have no place to put these.

If you are looking for art, and not wanting to pay the price for an original this abstract girl for $79.99 is a great price.

Another great abstract that is high-gloss.

Fretwork is in high-demand, and this little guy is adorable for a little bedroom side table or between small chairs.

Sometimes you need a small table lamp, and this one is so cute!

Slightly obsessed with these Nicole Miller lamps! I want to use these in one of my client’s home. In the next photo you will see the other colors it comes in: purple, blue, and gray.

Another baby lamp!

This little one came to my house.

Great white basketweave table lamp; however, I would change the lampshade to a neutral. Not a huge fan of this shade of green.
