Last week, I attended the Souther C Summit. For those of you who do not know what it is, it is an annual two-and-a-half day conference that gathers entrepreneurial creative minds together to connect, collaborate, and create. I will share with you later on some of the great things I learned from the summit and who I met. But today I’m going to take you on a little tour of downtown historic Charleston.
Charleston, South Carolina, is one of my favorite cities. It is only an hour and a half from where we live, and the hubs and I get down there as often as we can. We have our boat down there and take it out on the water throughout the year as well.
This historic city is full of Southern charm, classic architecture and plain ole inspiration and beauty. You can feel the city’s old soul, and find yourself captivated by it’s history and grace. Everyone I know that walks the streets of downtown Charleston find themselves in awe. If you have never been, you need to visit ASAP! It is always ranked on Forbe’s top 100 places in the U.S. to visit.
Make sure to wear your walking shoes when you visit because it is a lot of walking! Oh and there are some cobblestone streets as well as old brick lain streets.
The textures on these old homes and buildings are exquisite.
The flower boxes are always a favorite of mine! Who doesn’t love a pop of color?!
Come back tomorrow for more of a walk downtown historic Charleston through my eyes!
