If you have been following my Instagram or like my Facebook page, you might have seen that one of my projects in Hilton Head Beach is almost complete. There are a few little things that need to be finished, but other than that it’s a done deal. I’m so happy with the outcome that I had to share with you the before photos and the in-progress shots.
The main focus on this remodel was the kitchen, and the secondary being the bathroom. We removed all existing cabinetry, appliances & plumbing, as well as ripping up the floor in the entire condo. There was some minor sheetrock replacement and repair. We had the chair railing removed in the living area. We replaced the existing ceiling fan in the kitchen with a can light, and added a new ceiling fan with a light kit in the living space.
Below are images of the progress over the past few months.
The first design decision and material selection was the new tile. My clients wanted a flooring material that was easy to clean and looked like wood. We decided on the increasingly popular porcelain wood tiles with gray and brown tones. The perfect combination of colors that appeal to most consumers.
The kitchen cabinet layout design was the most important. This condo is relatively small, and maximizing storage was key. We kept the appliances and plumbing in the same location, but selected a larger sink and range. We add a small peninsula for extra storage and a designated eating space, and managed to put in a small trash pullout.
In the bathroom, we replaced the tile floor, and vanity. We keep the tub/shower combination unit. With a little extra cleaning, TLC, and plumbing fixtures it looks 10 times better.
So enjoy these in-progress photos of the Hilton Head Beach condo renovation that is almost complete. I cannot wait to show you the final result!
The backsplash, countertops, appliances and plumbing are in!
Unfortunately I do not have any bathroom photos to show you the progress in that space, but next time I’m there I’ll snap a photo and share it with you.
